Private Functional Integration® lessons offer a more personalized form of Feldenkrais work. Lessons are usually hands-on, although verbal instruction may be given to enrich the process. Sometimes lessons are quite passive for the student, and at other times the student is more actively engaged and challenged within the process.

As the name suggests, the purpose of these lessons is for the student to develop their own strategies to integrate their movement (i.e. use themself in a more coordinated fashion) to the service of functioning more easily in the world. When you come for a Functional Integration lesson, you may either bring a function that you would like to work with and improve (e.g. walking, standing up, writing) or alternatively through my assessment process I can develop a functional theme tailored to you based on what I see in your movement.
Lessons generally last 45 minutes to an hour, although depending on your situation I may recommend shorter (20-30 min), more frequent lessons.
I offer Functional Integration lessons privately and in association with Alliant Continuum Care under the direction of Tim Sobie, PT, GCFP.
